LANGUAGE ARTS:

*Sounding/tapping out and blending to read 3 letter words.  This week we will focus on identifying, writing, and doing activities with short “e” word families (et, en, eg, and ed).

*Reading and writing in our Raz kids and Reading groups

MATH:

*Identifying, writing, and doing activities with the numbers 0-25

**Working on adding whole numbers up to 10 using the plus (+) symbol and the equals (=) symbol.

 

SOCIAL STUDIES

*Talking about Independence Day!

SCIENCE:

*Learning all about MAMMALS and FARM ANIMALS.

 

*The students loved game day!  With SOL testing this month we do not have Library or Guidance on Fridays.  Students are welcome to bring in games on Fridays to play during encore!

 

Encore: Mon.= P.E., Tues.= Art, Wed.= Music, Thurs. = PE

May 28th – End of the year Party 2:00.  We will have an ice cream party!

SCIENCE:

*Learning all about baby animals and MAMMALS!

*Finishing up talking about the lifecycle of a butterfly with our trip to see the play The Very Hungry Cateripillar.

*We will have a special lesson with Mrs. Martin’s Class on the courtyard this week to learn more about plants!

*We will be going to the UR Modlin Center to see The Very Hungry Caterpillar on Monday. Your child will need a snack and a lunch as usual for this day.

*May 4th is hat day, but we will not wear our hats until we come back from the field trip.
