*Reading and writing in our Raz kids and Reading groups.

  • After Thanksgiving we will go back the regular show and tell schedule.  Girls Wednesday, Boys Friday.

*Finishing our unit of study on the first Thanksgiving.

*Presenting our play, A Thanksgiving to Remember! (The play begins at 9:30 in the cafeteria followed by refreshments in room 105, the reception is about 20 minutes.) Please make sure to come a few minutes early to get a good seat.  Please dress your child in an off white or white shirt and dark pants.

*Practicing for our play, A Thanksgiving to Remember. Speaking parts went home Thursday on a half sheet of paper. If your child brought this home, have them practice it with you this weekend. Rehearsals will begin next week.

*Learning all about fall weather and FALL ANIMALS!  We are having our FUN FALL FOOD HUNT on Friday with Mrs. Tysinger’s class. See attached note.

*Going on a Fall Hike on our Nature Trail with Mrs. Martin’s class and Mrs. Tysinger’s class!

Wednesday: Draw 5 turkeys in a row. Practice counting the turkeys using your ordinal numbers: first, second, third, fourth, fifth.  Count five times.

*Starting our unit of study on THANKSGIVING.  Our emphasis this week will be on TURKEYS.  We will be learning about Pilgrims and Native Americans in the weeks to come.

*Doing activities about fall. Our emphasis over the next few weeks will be on fall weather, fall leaves, and animals in fall.

*Learning all about TURKEYS.  We will be “turkey experts” by the end of our unit!  Look for your child’s own “Turkey Book” to be coming home soon!
