Girls Night Out!
WHO:  All 4th and 5th grade girls plus one special guest!  Each girl is invited to bring a mom, grandma, aunt…or any one special woman in their lives!   WHAT: Join Mrs. Zorger to watch “Chrissa Stands Strong,” have a pizza dinner, and a discussion about relational bullying amongst girls.  We will be focusing on how girls can be courageous, be themselves, and be a friend!  There will be other fun activities as well!!  WEAR YOU FAVORITE PAJAMAS!   WHEN: Friday, February 28th from 5pm-8pm

Spaghetti Dinner Basket
During Spaghetti Dinner Night, there is a fun-filled Silent Auction featuring themed baskets.  Each class at RES donates a basket for this event.  Your help is needed to fill your child’s classroom basket by Thursday, February 27.  The baskets will be displayed in the Media Center for everyone to view and bid on during the Spaghetti Dinner festivities on Friday, March 7.

A message from the RES PTA
The Randolph Elementary School PTA will once again offer after-school classes taught by Goochland County teachers,parents ,  and outside vendors.
Hopefully you received the flyer home todaybut in  case you didn’tthe form is attached.
These classes are fun, active and interesting!
They offer students a break from their regular afternoon routines, while also providing a safe learning environment.
After school program dates are: February 25, March 4, March 11, and March 18 from 3:15-4:15pm.
Remember, please indicate your 1st and 2nd choice on the form and classes fill up quickly so send in your completed form with payment ASAP to your homeroom teacher.

*KICKING OFF OUR “ONE DISTRICT, ONE BOOK” PROGRAM WITH AN ASSEMBLY ON MONDAY MORNING!!!!

*Starting our Unit of Study on FAMOUS AMERICANS!  We will be learning about the following people:  Martin Luther King, Powhatan, Pocahontas, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and Betsy Ross.

 

SCIENCE:

*Having an “IN School Field Trip” about Nocturnal Animals and our 5 Senses!  Mrs. Newman from the Va. Museum of Natural History will be presenting the program!

*Learning about SHADOWS and Groundhog Day.

*PLEASE BRING A FLASHLIGHT TO SCHOOL ON TUESDAY. I’LL SEND IT HOME ON FRIDAY.
