ACTIVITIES FOR WEEK INCLUDE:
LANGUAGE ARTS:
*We will be reviewing the letters Tt, Bb, Ff, Mm, Nn. **We are not introducing any new letters this week due to PALS testing.
*Learning to read the following Trick words: a, my, I, the, like, look, see, is. ** We will be reading these words for the next several weeks.
*Learning more Nursery Rhymes and pointing to words at the bottom of the page.
*Our Mother Goose Performers will recite their nursery rhyme on Friday, October 4th. Please be sure your child is prepared for this fun experience.

MATH:
*Working on the concept of one-to-one correspondence.
*Recognizing, creating, and extending ABC and ABCD patterns (patterns with 3 and 4
members).
*Identifying, writing, and doing activities with the numbers 0-10.
*Working on the concept more/less.

SOCIAL STUDIES
*Working in our unit on Fall Celebrations.

SCIENCE:
*Doing activities in our unit on Fall. Our emphasis this week is on APPLES! I am asking that each student bring in 1 apple by Tuesday. We will be doing many fun activities with these apples. Thanks!
*Doing activities in our unit of study on our 5 senses.

*Be sure to save and turn in your BOXTOP FOR EDUCATIONS labels!
*YOur child will receive a GHOST with their name on it to go on our October Calendar if they can spell October (orally), and read the following words: I, a, my, the, see, like, look.
*Friday, October 11th is Roadrunners on the Run.
*Tuesday, October 29th is Grandparents’ Night following our PTA meeting.
*We will start our PAL testing this week. **See the attached letter.
**Please turn in Your child’s Mother Goose Form if you have not already. If you need another form please let me know and I will send it home with your child.
