~YMCA Learn to Swim program begins this Monday. We will go Monday at 1:00 and will return around 2:45. We will leave on Wednesday at 12:00 and return around 2:15. Don’t forget to pack your child a towel and a change of clothes. It is easier if they wear their swim suits to school (boys) or under their clothes (girls). Feel free to email me if you have any other questions. Just a reminder that we will also go Monday, April 16 (after Spring Break). We will go every Monday and Wednesday until May.
~BOOK BARTER: On Friday ( April 20) our class will hold a Book Barter. This is designed to give a hands-on experience with bartering – trading objects or services with no exchange of money.
We would like each child to bring in one book that he/she has read and enjoyed and is willing to part with. The children will have the opportunity to choose another book that appeals in exchange for the book that he/she brought to school. This will be a fun learning experience!

What a beautiful week we had. Nice springy weather brought some fun activities. Next week we will do much more fun Spring things. Stay tuned for those pictures. Here are a few from this week. Enjoy these pictures. Hopefully the rain will stop soon!
We started our week working on or Book Project Museum. We had a lot of fun reading books with our groups and making activities to share with our book buddies.
We finally finished up our fun activities and set up our museum.
We had a great time sharing them with Miss Colwell’s Kindergarten Class.
In math this week we have had a blast learning about different type of graphs. We took surveys and made tally charts and pictographs.
All week we’ve been talking about adjectives. We did not have a quiz on Friday, sorry for any confusion. Adjectives are taking a little longer than I expected; but we’re having a GREAT time learning about them. We made pictures of ourselves and went around the room to write down adjectives that described our classmates. What sweet things they wrote!
We’ve also had a blast learning about Ancient Egypt! Check out some of our Ancient Egypt books!
We ended our week with a GREAT performance of “The Three Pigs” from Theatre IV.
