Local Winner
William Davis a senior at Goochland High School won the “buy local” design competition sponsored by the Goochland Chamber of Commerce titled “Goochland’s Got It” . Mrs. Berry’s “Deisgn, Multimedia and Web Technology” class was selected to come up with a wide variety of designs for the “Goochland’s Got It” campaign and one winner’s work would be selected to appear on various shopping bags, bumper stickers and other publications throughout Goochland as a way of promoting buying local right here in Goochland. William received a lovely framed certificate and $100.00 gift certificate for his prize. It was a great for the Goochland Chamber of Commerce to sponsor this real world learning experience for the students who all learned and grew from the adventure, and enjoyed a pizza party as well for their efforts.
The photo was taken by local photographer Libby Clark and shows members of the chamber Ms. Carter, Ms. Ramsdell, and chamber director Doris Elderman, as well as William Davis and his teacher Kimberly Berry.
