Cheerleading Camp for Girls
June 4-7, 2012 3-6 p.m. in GHS Gym
For all girls between the ages of 6-12 interested in improving their cheerleading skills & becoming more fundamentally complete, while having fun at the same time!

The fee for a camper is $40 if the application is received by 5/21. After 5/21, the fee is $45. Every camper will receive a t-shirt. Make checks payable to GHS.

I hope everyone is able to make it tonight to learn about the expectations of being on the GHS Cheerleading squad. However, if you have a conflict that prevents you from attending, please read through the forms below. All forms must be returned by Friday, April 27 to be eligible for tryouts.

We are looking for rising 8th-rising 12th talented, energetic, and committed athletes who are interested in being involved in a fun and exciting sport.

Summer Camp Dates
The cheerleaders are signed up to go to cheer camp August 2-4 at UVA in Charlottesville. We will most likely start practice Monday, July 30. We will practice around 3 times a week throughout August. Please plan your vacations in June and July.

Winter Athletic Awards Ceremony
The Winter Athletic Awards Ceremony will be held on Wed., Feb. 29th at 6:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. We look forward to seeing you there!

The cheerleaders are so excited to cheer on the Bulldogs at the State Championship this Saturday at 4:30 at Salem Stadium!
State Semifinal Game
We had such a great time cheering on our Bulldogs to another victory at the VHSL State Semifinal Game on Saturday 12/3. Check out some pictures from the game!
States Information
The cheerleaders will be taking a charter bus to the game on Saturday, December 10 to the State Championship at Salem Stadium. We will be leaving the high school at 11:30. Girls need to be at the HS at 10:00 to make the run-through banner and practice before we leave. The game starts at 4:30. Cheerleaders will be allowed to leave with their parents after the game is over.
We will be wearing red warm-up jackets and black pants and hair in pony tails with bows.
Please turn in your payments for the remaining portion of your bills. We almost have enough to order the matching sweatshirts I’d like to get for the girls to wear at the State Championship game.
Thank you for a fantastic football season & hope to see all of you next Saturday to cheer on the Bulldogs for the state title!

Practice & Parent-Cheerleader Meeting
J.V. & Varsity Basketball Cheer Squads will have practice this Monday, November 21 from 3:30-5:30 in the high school cafeteria. The next practice will be Monday, November 28 from 3:30-5:30. We will have a parent-cheerleader meeting following practice at 5:45 in the high school cafeteria. Please bring $12 for the ribbon we will be wearing at games.
