What a GRAND day it will be for the…
CLASS OF 2012! It is with great delight that I remind you your graduation has been moved to the Landmark Theater in Richmond, Virginia. I am so proud of your continued support and positive attitudes!
The time remains the same, 1:00 in the afternoon. I ask that you arrive no later than 12:00 so we can begin the line up process. I will provide further direction for you at graduation practice, which is Thursday, May 31, 2012. It will be held at 2:00 and we will meet in the gym at GHS. Please see the below announcement from the wonderful ladies in our Guidance Department.
“The graduation venue has changed from the Arthur Ashe Center to the Landmark Theater. Due to the air conditioning issues, the Ashe Center is no longer available to us. However, the Landmark Theater has been secured for graduation exercises on June 1st at 1:00 p.m., the same date and time as originally scheduled.
Thanks for your continued support of our graduating seniors. We look forward to seeing you at the Landmark Theater to celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2012.
The address for Richmond’s Landmark Theater is 6 N. Laurel Street, Richmond, VA. Phone numbers are 804-646-0546 or 804-646-4213.”

It’s Time to Skype with the NRC
So just what exactly does a federal agency do? What agencies have regulatory power (quasi-judicial and legislative)? This Friday Mr. Scott Burnell, from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission will be at GHS, virtually, to discuss the role of the NRC and help us review the aforementioned.
We are excited to have him and thankful for his time!
A special thank you to Ms. Cantor for helping to arrange this opportunity and assisting with Skype. Also, thanks to News 2 and Gummy for covering the event!
