The heavy rain last night made the fields unplayable for today so the home JV softball & varsity baseball games vs. Bluestone have been postponed for today and rescheduled for Friday, May 18 starting at 5:00. (Note the change in start time.)
The home JV softball & varsity baseball games scheduled for today vs. Bluestone have been postponed until tomorrow, Wednesday, May 16 at 6:00.
The away varsity softball & JV baseball games at Bluestone have been postponed for today and rescheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, May 16 at 5:00.
The Region B Spring Tournament Information for girls & boys track, girls tennis, softball, girls soccer, boys tennis, baseball & boys soccer is as follows:
The girls & boys tennis singles tournament will take place at Wilson Memorial High School on Tuesday, May 22 starting at 1:30. Goochland girls will be playing in this and the boys have to wait until their matches Randolph-Henry on Thursday, May 17.
The girls & boys tennis double tournament will take place at Wilson Memorial High School on Tuesday, May 29 starting at 1:30. Goochland girls will be playing in this and the boys have to wait until their matches with Randolh-Henry on Thursday, May 17.
The Region B Track Meet is scheduled for Thursday, May 24 at East Rockingham High School with a start time of 1:00.
The softball, girls soccer, baseball & boys soccer Region B Tournament games are set for Monday, May 28, Wednesday, May 30 and Friday, June 1. At the present time, the softball, girls soccer and baseball teams will all host games on Monday, May 28 (Memorial Day). Depending on the outcome of the last two boys soccer games will determine if they also will be hosting on Monday, May 28.
The James River District Tournament games for softball, baseball & boys soccer will be played on Monday, May 21, Wednesday, May 23 and Friday, May 25. Start time for all of the games is $5.00. With only three schools that have girls soccer, there will not be a tournament for them. Goochland is #1 4-0 and Bluestone is #2 at 2-2 and both school will advance to the Region B Girls Soccer Tournament.
At the present time, the softball & baseball teams will be the #1 seed in the JRD tournaments and will host on Monday, May 21. With wins in the tournament games they will host on Wednesday & Friday.
The boys soccer team plays at Amelia on Wednesday & at Buckingham on Thursday. With wins in both games they will be #1 seed and also host on Monday and could host through out the tournaments.
Cost for the games is $5.00. Sorry, but the GHS Senior Citizen & family passes do not work for the tournament games.
The James River District does not have JV championship games for outside sports. So there will not be any JV baseball or softball championship games played in the spring.
With the rain today, the JRD field events at Buckingham were postponed. The field events will now take place at Nottoway on Wednesday, May 16 at 4:30. The running events will take place at GHS on Thursday, May 17 at 4:30.

1. The girls tennis team travels to Steward School for their matches at 4:30. Make up matches from April 26.
2. The boys tennis team hosts Randolph-Henry at 4:30. Make up matches from May 11.
3. Field event members of the track teams travel to Buckingham for the JRD Track meet at 4:30.
Tuesday, May 15:
1. The boys tennis team travels to Appomattox High School for their matches at 4:30.
2. The varsity softball & JV baseball teams travel to Bluestone for their games at 5:00. Make up games from April 26.
3. The JV softball & varsity baseball teams host Bluestone at 6:00. Make up from April 26. Cost for the games is $5.00.

1. The running events for the James River District Track Meet will be held at Nottoway High School at 4:30.
2. The boys soccer team travels to Amelia for their game at 5:00.
Thursday, May 17:
1. The boys tennis team hosts Randolph-Henry at 4:30.
