If you are planning on submitting a film for the first annual RES Student Film Festival, the due date has been extended to Friday, March 28th. The Film Festival Crew decided to do this so that students would have more time to complete their projects. This should give the committee enough time to get everything organized before Fine Arts Night on April 10th.
The 4th grade students created their own version of Harry Potter’s Daily Prophet newspaper for Mrs. Crowder in honor of Principal Appreciation Week. Students wrote stories about Mrs Crowder and published them in this special edition of the newspaper.
Story headlines included…
- “Library Books Turned to Stone”
- “Illegal Wand Use”
- “Crowder Steals a Car”
- “Trolls Causing Trouble”
- “Wizarding Student Wanted”…and more!
The Student Council Association has already been hard at work this week in the Library.
Students who are campaigning for an Officer position have been coming to the Library every day to create and edit their commercials, which will air next Wednesday at school. The commercials were made with the iMovie app on the school’s iPads. The results are simply awesome!
We would like to send out a HUGE thanks to Mrs. Zoe Parrish, the new elementary ITRT, for her amazing guidance and assistance with this project! We couldn’t have done it without you!
