THRIVING IN THIRD GRADE - news and updates from Mrs. Demas' Class

Surprise for Ms. Erin

To my Language Arts Class:

Ms. Erin will be presenting her final project this week and will come visit us one more time before she graduates from high school and begins her journey towards becoming a teacher.  If each student could bring in their favorite school supply item or an item that a future teacher would like we can create a fair well gift for her.  We will also make cards in class to say thank you!  Thank you for your support!

We worked hard last week and need to keep that momentum up until after SOL testing is over.  In math, students will learn about perimeter and area.  We will also be reviewing old material in order to prepare for SOL testing.  In reading, we will be reviewing comprehension skills, completing an end of the year writing sample, administering PALs tests, and completing our read aloud “The Cay”.  In social studies, we will be learning about human, natural, and capital resources.  We will also study goods and services!  Please continue reviewing math concepts at home with your child.  Please feel free to email me for resources or review needs for your child!  I am always willing to help!  Let’s have a fantastic week!
