Dear Parents,

Grandparents day is this Wednesday, November 14th.  We are expecting lots of Grandparents to be here and are awaiting a fun time. 

What Will We Be Covering This Week?

We will:

  • Learn about the “th” and its sound.
  • Count backwards from 10 – 0.
  • Ordinal numbers (first, second, third, etc).
  • Recognize, recite and match rhyming words.
  • Sight words am, for
  • Writing numbers using correct formation, putting numbers in order
  • Pilgrims and Thanksgiving
  • Past and Present


Scholastic Book Club:  I am sending home a November Scholastic Order form on Monday.  If you would like to place and order, please return the form to me by Friday, November 16th.  You can also place your order and pay online.  Our class activation code is:  GY6QX.  The website address is


Thanksgiving Feast:  Our Thanksgiving Feast will be Tuesday, November 20th.  I misprinted the date the first time!  Please sign up to bring in something yummy.




Monday – TH worksheet

Tuesday – Write your first and last name on lined paper

Wednesday – Sight Word Wednesday, using the words “am” and “for”.

Thursday –Glue sort in Word Study Journal.

Friday – Read your poetry journal.  Don’t forget to send it back in on Monday!

We need small prizes and candy for the prize basket.  If you can send any in, the children would really appreciate your donation.  Here are some ideas for items you might send in:
