Summer Reading
All rising Pre-AP 9 students will need to read The Pearl by John Steinbeck over the summer.
You may check a copy out of the GHS library or purchase your own.
The story is quite basic, so you shouldn’t have any trouble with it. It is considered a fable, so there must be a moral in there somewhere. What do you think the story is trying to teach you? Just something to ponder as you digest the story. Come to class ready to discuss the plot in detail and on multiple levels.
