Parents are required to pick their children up at the YMCA no later than 5:30. We are fortunate to be able to use the YMCA facilities, but we do need to vacate the pool area at 5:15 so as not to disrupt membership swim time.

Girls MUST wear a 1 piece swim suit, anyone with a 2 piece suit will NOT be allowed to dress out.

Congratulations for an Awesome Fall Season

What a Fall season we had at Goochland Middle School in our athletic program! Under the direction of new coaches in all 4 of our sports we experienced many successes on the playing fields/courts/mats.

Our Volleyball team finished the year with a 12-6 overall record and placed 3rd in the annual Queens of the Court Tournament. First year Coach Wonderling did a great job stepping in to help the girls grow both athletically and as young ladies.

Boys Soccer, with first year coaches Ottaviano and Funkhouser, had a growing year. We had a very young team and played other teams who had an age/height/experience advantage over our young boys. The good thing is that they never gave up, they played tough in every game. It was a great building year and we look forward to lots of learning and success later on.

Our Cross Country team, had nearly 30 runners participating in the events. Our team consistently placed Middle School runners near the front of the pack in the combined HS/MS events. Great job girls and boys. A special thanks to coach Dalton for stepping in to work with the runners!

The Cheer Squad competed in the Cheer Challenge County Battle for the second year in a row. With half of the squad being new defending their title of Grand Champion was difficult, in the end they finished second to Culpepper. No worries though, Competition continues throughout the winter season as well and the opportunity to win another title comes up in January (1/10/15) at the Fierce Cheer Competition. Special thanks to new coaches Jackson and Schwartz.
