Lang. Arts – This week we will be finishing up our non-fiction texts with a focus on comparing and contrasting. Students are also working on the November writing prompt writing to fictitious judges about why they have the best grandparents. Words of the Week – Greece, Rome, contribution, ancient, sport, column, hill, farm, trade, and arch.
Math – We will begin our unit on Money this week. Students will review counting money and will begin working on counting change back.
Social Studies – Students will be learning about the ancient civilizations of Greece and Rome.
Grandparents Day – Friday – Classroom Visit 11 to 11:20 and Lunch 11:25 to 12:10

It is hard to believe that we are finished with MP 1 and moving on to MP 2.
Lang. Arts – This week reading groups will begin working on Non-Fiction text using the comprehension skill of compare and contrast to understand the text.
Math – Students will continue to work on telling time to the nearest five minute increments. Students will also review calendar skills.
Science – This week students will be working on our Soil unit in preparation for our field trip on Friday. We will have a test next week on this unit.
