Athletic events for the week of October 21, 2013

Monday, October 21:

1. The middle school boys soccer team travels to St. Anne’s for their game at 4:30.

 2.  The middle school volleyball team hosts Powhatan in a PINK OUT game at 5:00 

3.The scholastic bowl team travels to Amelia for their meet at 5:30.

Tuesday, October 22:

1.  The female member of the golf team will be playing in the Central Zone Girls State Qualifier Golf Tournament at Dogwood Trace Golf Course in Petersburg at 9:00.

2.  The middle school volleyball team travels to Collegiate for their game at 6:00.

2.  The competition cheer squad travels to Wilson Memorial High School to compete in the VHSL Conference 36 Cheer Competition at 6:30.  Cost for the competition is $5.00.  The teams that are in the competition are:  Buffalo Gap, East Rockingham, Goochland, Robert E. Lee & Wilson Memorial.  The top three teams will advance to the VHSL 2A East Competition on Saturday, November 2 at noon.

Wednesday, October 23:

1.  The cross country teams travel to Occoneechee State Park in Clarksville for the James River District Cross Country Meet.  The girls race is at 3:00 and the boys race is at 4:00.  There will be a $2.00 parking fee for spectators.

2.  The JV & varsity volleyball teams travel to Midlothian High School for their games at 5:45 & 7:00.

Thursday, October 24:

1.  The middle school boys soccer team travels to Fork Union for their game at 4:30.

2.  The JV & varsity volleyball teams host Nottoway in PINK OUT games at 5:30 & 6:30.  Cost for the games is $5.00.

3.  The JV football team hosts Cumberland at 6:30.  Cost for the game is $5.00.

Friday, October 25:

1.  The varsity football team travels to Cumberland for their game at 7:00.

Monday, October 7:

1.  Three members of the golf team will be representing GHS, James River District & Quad River Conference 34 in the 2 A East golf tournament.  The tournament is being played in Williamsburg at the Kiskiack Golf Course starting at 10:00 am.

2.  The middle school boys soccer team will host Fork Union at the old high school at 4:30.

Tuesday, October 8:

1.  The middle school volleyball team travels to Atlee High School for their game at 5:00.

2.  The JV & varsity volleyball travel to Bluestone for their games at 5:30 & 6:30.

Wednesday, October 9:

1.  The girls and boys cross country teams travel to Bluestone for their meet at 4:30.  The meet will be run at Occoneechee State Park on HWY 58 E Clarksville, Va.

2.  The middle school volleyball team hosts Collegiate at 5:00.  Cost for the game is $4.00.

Thursday, October 10:

1.  The middle school boys soccer team hosts Collegiate at the old high school at 4:30.

2.  The middle school volleyball team hosts William Monroe at 5:00.  Cost for the game is $4.00.

3.  The JV & varsity volleyball teams host Randolph-Henry at 5:30.  Cost for the games is $5.00.

Friday, October 11:

1.  This is the bye week for football, so there is no game for JV or varsity.

1.  The high school girls and boys cross country teams travel to Buckingham for their meet with Buckingham, Nottoway & Randolph-Henry at 4:30.

Thursday, October 3:

1.  The middle school volleyball team travels to St. Catherine’s for their game at 4:30.

2.  The middle school boys soccer team host St. Christopher’s at the old high school at 4:30.  

3.  The JV & varsity volleyball teams travel to Amelia for their games at 5:30 & 6:30.

4.  The JV football team travels to Central for their game at 6:30.

Friday, October 4:

1.  The varsity football team hosts Central at 7:00.  Cost for the game is $5.00.

Saturday, October 5:

1.  The middle school volleyball team will host the GMS Volleyball Tournament in the high school gym at 9:00.

2.  The varsity competition cheer squad travels to Powhatan High School to compete in SpiritFest at 3:00.

1.  The girls & boys varsity cross country teams travel to Randolph-Henry High School for their first quad meet of the year at 4:30.  Also running at R-H are Amelia & Cumberland.

2.  The JV football team will host Essex for their first game at 6:30. Cost for the game is $5.00.

Thursday, August 29:

1.  The golf team travels to the Longwood course to take on Prince Edward & Randolph-Henry at 3:30.

Friday, August 30:

1.  The varsity football team travels to Essex High School for a rematch of last year’s state championship game at 7:00.

Tuesday, August 20:

1.  The golf team plays at Bluestone with Cumberland.  They will start play at 3:30 at the Kinderton Country Club in Clarksville.

2.  The volleyball teams host Louisa at 5:00 for in a volleyball scrimmage.

Thursday, August 22:

1.  The golf team hosts Nottoway & Bluestone at Royal Virginia at 3:30.

2.  The JV football team will host Louisa at 6:00 in a scrimmage.

Friday, August 23:

1.  The varsity football team travels to Louisa to play in a Benefit Game at 7:00.  Cost for the game is $6.00.

Saturday, August 24:

1.  The varsity volleyball team will host a Volleyball Jamboree at 9:00 am.  Cost for the Jamboree is $5.00.  The teams competing in the Jamboree besides Goochland are:  Bluestone, Collegiate, Midlothian and Nottoway.

1.  The girls tennis team hosts Buckingham at 4:30.

2.  The boys soccer team hosts Randolph-Henry at 5:00.  Cost for the game is $5.00.

3.  The JV softball and varsity baseball teams host Bluestone at 5:00 (make up games from April 12).  Cost for the games is $5.00.

4.  Parents meeting for girls trying out for high school cheerleaders next year in the high school cafeteria at 6:00.

5.  Parents meeting for boys trying out for the high school boys basketball team next year in the PE classroom at 6:00.

Tuesday, May 7:

1.  The girls tennis team travels to Steward School for their matches at 4:00.

3.  The track team hosts Bluestone, Buckingham, & Cumberland at 4:30.

4.  The boys soccer team travels to Buckingham for their game at 5:00.

5.  The JV and varsity girls soccer teams travel to King William for their games at 5:30 & 7:00.

1.  The boys tennis team hosts Apomattox at 4:30.

2.  The JV softball & varsity baseball travel to Buckingham for their games at 4:30.

1.  The middle school softball & baseball teams host Caroline in PINK OUT game at 4:30 on the old high school fields.

2.  The boys tennis team travels to Randolph-Henry for their games at 4:30.

3.  The girls tennis team hosts Randolph-Henry at 4:30.

4.  The girls soccer team hosts Trinity at 6:00.  Cost for the game is $5.00.
