Me? Backup?

Posted on May 14, 2012 by John Hendron

Great little video of a true story from Pixar.

Only because the technical director made an extra backup of the movie files did Toy Story 2 survive. Lesson to learn? Always backup!

Goochland Blogs!

Since 2005, we have encouraged teachers to share classroom news, artifacts of student learning, and announcements for students and parents through blogs. In the summer of 2012, we have upgraded our blogging system to increase the capabilities and reach for our communications efforts. You can find an individual list of teachers and the social tools they are using for communication on each of our school websites.

Thank you for visiting the teacher and administrator blogs from Goochland County Public Schools in central Virginia.

Comment, Tweet, and Share!

We encourage teachers to share their content using a Creative Commons license. Some teachers may include links to "tweet," "like," or otherwise connect their content with social networks. We encourage parents and the public to comment, when appropriate, and engage in the online conversation that blogs and social media can provide. All content published must be supported by our Acceptable Use Policy.

Password Protected Posts

From time to time, teachers may choose to password-protect a post on their blog. This is done to limit the audience to the information that was posted. When we do this, we typically use an easy-to-remember word that is given to students so they can access the information on this post. Password-protected posts may also be used to differentiate assignments for different student groups.
