Monday, 11/3:

1.  The scholastic bowl team travels to Buckingham for their matches at 5:30.

Wednesday, 11/5:

1.  The girls & boys cross country teams travel to Panorama Farms in Earlyville for the Region 2A East Cross Country Meet.  The girls race starts at 3:00 and the boys at 4:00.  Cost for the meet is $5.00.

Thursday, 11/6:

1.  The varsity volleyball team will host the winner of Greensville/Amelia game at 6:00 in a semi-final game of the Quad Rivers Conference Volleyball Tournament.  Cost for the game is $6.00 and GHS passes do not work for tournament games.

2.  The JV football team travels to Amelia for their last game of the season at 6:30.

Friday, 11/7:

1.  The varsity football team hosts Amelia in the last regular season game at 7:00.  Cost for the game is $5.00.

Saturday, 11/8:

1.  With a win on Thursday, the varsity volleyball team will host the championship game of  Quad Rivers Conference 34 Volleyball Tournament at 6:00.  Cost for the game is $6.00.

Quad Rivers Conference 34 Volleyball Tournament Information

The Quad Rivers Conference 34 Volleyball Tournament will take place with quarter final games on Tuesday, November 4 at 6:00, semi-final games on Thursday, November 6 at 6:00 and championship game on Saturday, November 8 at 6:00.  All games will be played at the higher seeded school.  

Admission for the games is $6.00 and the GHS Family Passes and GHS Senior Citizen Passes do not work for tournament games.

Tuesday, November 4:  Quarter Final Games at 6:00

Game 1:  #1 Goochland (16-0, 19-1) has the bye

Game 2:  #5 Greensville (8-8, 8-10)) at #4 Amelia (8-8, 12-8)

Game 3:  #6 Brunswick (8-8, 8-12) at #3 Prince Edward (12-4, 13-5)

Game 4:  #7 Nottoway (7-9, 11-9) at #2 Bluestone (14-2, 17-2)

Thursday, November 6:  Semi-Finals at 6:00

Game 5:  Winner of Game 2 at Goochland

Game 6:  Winner of Game 3 vs. Winner of Game 4 at higher seeded school

Saturday, November 8:  Championship Game at 6:00

Game 7:  Winner of Game 6 vs. Winner of Game 5 at higher seeded school

1.  The middle school volleyball & boys soccer teams travel to Steward School for their games at 4:30.

2.  The scholastic bowl team travels to Bluestone for their meet at 5:30.

3.  The JV football team travels to Buckingham for their make up game at 6:30.

Tuesday, 10/28:

1.  The middle school boys soccer team travels to Fork Union for a make up game at 4:00.  

2.  The middle school volleyball team hosts St. Anne’s at 5:00.

3.  The JV & varsity volleyball teams host Prince Edward at 5:30 & 6:45.  Cost for the games is $5.00.

Wednesday, 10/29:

1.  The Cross Country teams travel to Occoneechee State Park in Clarksville for the Quad Rivers Conference 34 Cross County Meet.  The girls run starts at 2:00 with the boys run at 3:00.

Thursday, 10/30:

1.  The JV & varsity volleyball travels to Amelia for the last regular season game at 5:30 & 6:45.  

2.  The JV football team hosts Prince Edward at 6:30.  Cost for the game is $5.00.

Friday, 10/31:

1.  The varsity football team travels to Prince Edward for their game at 7:00.

Events for the week of October 20:  HOMECOMING WEEK

MONDAY, 10/20:  ”MERICA MONDAY”  Show your patriotic wear-Red, White & Blue

1.  The scholastic bowl team travels to Amelia for their matches at 5:30.

2.  The JV & varsity volleyball travel to Powhatan for their games at 6:00 & 7:15.

3.  The JV football team hosts Nottoway at 6:00.  Cost for the game is $5.00.

TUESDAY, 10/21:  ”NERD DAY”

1.  The middle school volleyball team travels to Collegiate for their game at 5:00.

2.  The JV & varsity volleyball teams host Nottoway in a “PINK OUT” games at 5:30 & 6:45.  Cost for the games is $5.00.

WEDNESDAY, 10/22:  ”COLLEGE/SPORT DAY”  (no hats)

1.  The girls & boys high school cross country teams compete in the James River District Cross Country Meet at Occoneechee State Park in Clarksville at 2:00.

2.  The middle school boys soccer team hosts Steward School at Leake Mill Park at 5:00.

3.  The middle school volleyball team hosts Steward School at 5:00.

4.  The “Chili Cook Off” and Powder Puff Football at the stadium at 6:00.  Tasting kits for the Chili Cook Off are $3.00.

THURSDAY, 10/23:  ”THROWBACK THURSDAY”

1.  The middle school volleyball team travels to Cumberland for their game at 4:00.

2.  The middle school boys soccer team travels to Fork Union for their game at 4:30.

3.  The JV & varsity volleyball teams travel to Cumberland for their games at 5:30 & 6:45.

FRIDAY, 10/24:  ”SPIRIT DAY”  Show your Bulldog colors Red & Gold.

1.  The varsity football team host Cumberland in the homecoming game at 7:00.  Cost for the game is $5.00.

SATURDAY, 10/23:

1.  The homecoming dance will be held in the gym at 7:00.

1.  The cross country teams host Bluestone, Buckingham & Prince Edward at 4:30.  

2.  The middle school volleyball team travels to St. Ann’s for their games at 5:30.

Thursday, October 16:

1.  The JV football team hosts Nottoway at 6:30.  Cost for the game is $5.00.

Friday, October 17:

1.  The varsity football team travels to Nottoway for their game at 7:00.

 

Directions to Panorama Farms in Earlysville, VA

Directions to Panorama Farms: Take I-64 to exit 124 (Rt. 250) north towards Charlottesville.  Proceed 4.2 miles on Rt. 250, stay straight onto Route 250 Bypass Turn right on Hydraulic Rd.  Proceed for 2.1 miles Turn left on Earlysville Rd.  Proceed for 2.5 miles Turn left onto Panorama Rd.  Proceed for .75 mile. Panorama Rd. will then turn into the driveway for Panorama Farms Continue along the driveway and follow signs for parking.

Monday, 10/6:

1.  A couple of members of the golf team will be representing GHS, James River & Quad Rivers Conference 34 in the 2A East Region Golf Tournament.  The tournament will be played at Heritage Oaks Golf Course in Harrisonburg at 8:30.

2.  The JV & varsity volleyball teams hosts Midlothian at 5:30 & 6:45.  Cost for the games is $5.00.

Tuesday, 10/7:

1.  Lifetouch will be here to take individual & team high school fall athletic teams starting at 3:30.

2.  The middle school boys soccer team will host FUMA at  Leake Mill Park at 4:30.

3.  The JV & varsity volleyball teams host Randolph-Henry at 5:30 & 6:45.  Cost for the games is $5.00.

Wednesday, 10/8:

1.  The varsity girls & boys cross country teams travel to Occoneechee State Park in Clarksville for their meet with Bluestone, Cumberland & Nottoway at 4:30.

2.  The middle school volleyball team host Collegiate at 5:00.

Thursday, 10/9:

1.  The middle school volleyball team travels to William Monroe for their game at 5:00.

2.  The JV football team host Collegiate at 6:30.  Cost for the game is $5.00.

Friday, 10/10:

1.  The varsity football team has a bye.

Saturday, 10/11:

1.  The middle school volleyball team is hosting a middle school volleyball tournament in the high school & middle school gyms starting at 9:00 am.

2.  Members of the cross country teams are running in the Albemarle Invitational at Panorama Farms in Charlottesville starting at 1:30.
