Day 4 of Stem Camp-Making Masks

Today we learned about birds. We had a guest speaker who showed us animal bones. We then made animal masks. Students were encouraged to build a mask with a pop-up and a moveable part.

Stem Camp Day 2-Animal Shelter

Students worked together to build an animal shelter for an animal. Enjoy some of our pictures from today. We also had a guest speaker, Mr. Wilcox, who showed us some snakes and talked about reptiles.

Day One of Amazing Animals Stem Camp

Today students in Mrs. Alvis’ and Mrs. Goodman’s class learned about mammals. Students then completed the design challenge of creating their own animal. The groups worked together to brainstorm, plan, and build. They had a great time! See for yourself.

Field Day

We Made Butter

After our field trip to Alvis Dairy Farm, we learned about products that come from milk and then we made our own real butter from whipping cream. It was yummy!
