We finally got to see our hero, the Prothonatory Warbler! As luck would have it, we also saw a cardinal & snake up close & personal. The snake was beginning his breakfast- a large catfish!! We tested the water for purity and safety, toxins, PH, and nutrients. We were glad to discover that our James River & 5 mile creek were pretty clean! We had a great time even in the afternoon rain!
It was a good trip and we saw so much as we learned to understand , enjoy and protect our Virginia Tidal Wetlands. We are hoping to go again next year and once again create art based on the interesting critters, birds and creatures that inhabit Deep Bottom park in Henrico County!
